A team innovating to serve modern manufacturing.

The world has become more mobile and connected, triggering the need for more powerful and longer-lasting batteries. With this, new challenges arise when it comes to safety. By developing the MesoFocus x-ray tube the team enabled battery manufacturers to visualize even the finest failures in batteries during their inspection in production lines. What’s even more: this inspection can now be done in an accuracy, speed and practicality never seen before. Ultimately increasing safety for its users.

A success driven by curiosity, courage and teamwork.

Carried by an interdisciplinary team composed of people with heterogeneous expertise, the MesoFocus project required, however, special ingredients to be outstanding.

«If you want to develop something new, you have to be curious, dynamic, open-minded, maybe even courageous and naive at times. In the MesoFocus project team, everything was necessary from everyone at times», says Daniel Krähenbühl as program and project manager.

«Working together applying a strong systemic mindset is the only way to solve challenges easily and quickly. It’s what we did for MesoFocus

Comet is very proud of the team’s achievement, and we take the opportunity to also congratulate all the other teams in competition for the inventive projects presented.

What unites us is the power of innovation and the curiosity to enter into new territories!

«Being rewarded for MesoFocus innovation, is a recognition for the incredible team work behind the project.»
