The benefits of working in a global organization.

October 18, 2022

If you are curious, you want to see new areas and explore new things. At Comet, getting out of our comfort zone is part of our DNA and we cultivate it: Our employees have the opportunity to work in another one of our 13 locations around the world for varying periods of time.

Offering international assignments is one way in which Comet is providing a unique experience for the employees while meeting the increasing needs of the business and customers.

Comet employees can benefit from our global organization and are offered two options:

Short-term assignment:

from one month up to one year working at a Comet overseas location

Long-term assignment :

1-5years working at a Comet overseas location (with relocation of the immediate family, if relevant)

"Working at another Comet location, perhaps even in a completely different culture, offers the opportunity to gain new experiences and broaden one's perspectives."

Luigi Cornacchia, Global Head Human Resources at Comet

Launched in 2021 our Talent Review program offers a standard process to facilitate and promote mobility between Comet locations, divisions and functions with the goal that the experience becomes beneficial for both the employee and the company.

The program ...

Deepens knowledge

Understanding on how different countries interact within our industry and business.

Fosters innovation

Opening up for ideas for new ways of doing things.

Boosts careers

The work experience gained overseas expands horizons and range of expertise.

We are convinced that this contributes to talent development, more diversity, a better global collaboration and ultimately strengthens how we live our values.

Led by experience. Driven by curiosity.

Comet is going (back) to space

April 14, 2025

At Comet, we believe progress starts with curiosity – and few frontiers spark it like space. That’s why we’re partnering with Project HERMES as a sponsor – supporting the student team at ARIS to build and launch a bi-liquid propulsion rocket at the European Rocketry Challenge (EuRoC) in 2025. If successful, it will be the first Swiss rocket of its kind to reach an altitude of 8000 m – a major milestone for student aerospace in Switzerland. From cryogenic propellants to guided recovery, HERMES is a showcase of what happens when curiosity meets collaboration. Just like in our own work, their success depends on precision, teamwork, and a drive to go beyond – values we share as they reach for the skies.
