Semicon Taiwan: Inspire innovation. Empower sustainability.
September 12, 2023
At Semicon Taiwan, one of Asia's premier semiconductor events, stakeholders all over the global microelectronics industry got together. With over 3’000 booths, it was the biggest edition to date. Surrounded by a highly engaged audience, Comet’s local team seized the opportunity to showcase our company’s latest innovations and strengthen sustainable relationships with our partners.
Collaborating for always better solutions
Together at one booth, our three divisions Comet PCT, Comet Yxlon and Comet X-ray were able to demonstrate the power of collaboration and synergy. Together, our technologies help our customers improve their microelectronic manufacturing processes. Be it right at the heart of production with advanced solutions for plasma processing, or in quality control with industrial X-ray systems and modules.
Synertia® live demonstration
Last year marked the premiere of Synertia® in Asia, and this year, visitors at our booth were treated to a live demonstration of this groundbreaking technology. Synertia® is our latest RF power delivery platform, designed to empower semiconductor manufacturers with unprecedented control over power delivery for the next generation of microchips. It's all about gaining a competitive edge through precise power delivery, resulting in higher yields, improved cost-effectiveness, and accelerated innovation in the semiconductor industry.
3D X-ray inspection in advanced packaging
As structures within semiconductors become denser and smaller, the need for quality inspection becomes paramount. High resolution X-ray inspection with Comet Yxlon systems and Comet X-ray tubes is the answer to this challenge. With augmented reality (AR) and demonstrations, visitors got to experience the power of a Cheetah EVO – equipped with a water-cooled FXE X-ray tube – for their quality assurance needs.
In the ever-evolving world of advanced packaging, 3D X-ray inspection is the next evolutionary leap. VistaX, Comet Yxlon’s revolutionary software, enables manufacturers to see better, faster, and more. It's about spotting defects like never before, ensuring the reliability and performance of high-density components, and ultimately gaining higher yields, faster time-to-market, and the ability to deliver exceptional products.
Our takeaways
Semicon Taiwan 2023 acted as a successful event for Comet to collaborate with partners and showcase its cutting-edge solutions in semiconductor manufacturing and related industries. Our commitment to delivering comprehensive solutions and seamless integration is unwavering, and we're dedicated to driving our customers' success with the next level of plasma control and X-ray solutions.
