Industrial X-ray Modules

The Xplorer series

The Xplorer series is designed to meet the rigorous demands of modern production environments, enabling efficient and cost-effective operations. The Xplorer series allows you to inspect even minute components in detail thanks to the combination of high magnification and high-resolution capabilities, ensuring superior quality control and production reliability. The system excels with a homogeneous intensity distribution and a symmetric focal spot, delivering consistent, high-quality 3D and CT images that make defect identification easier and more accurate.

The ECO series

As a one-man tool, you reduce labor costs, get a faster and smarter workflow as it’s easier to handle and carry - while the small focal spot gives the possibility of shorter exposure times and increased image quality.

The High Power 15 series

A game-changer in continuous uptime. With redundancy built-in, this product line ensures your production never skips a beat. Two filament systems, two target areas, and the ingenious ability to switch between them when one wears out guarantees uninterrupted operation.

Need for Speed: Boosting X-ray Inspection Speed in Advanced Electronics

As electronics become more powerful and advanced packaging technologies more complex, manufacturers face the challenge of detecting ever-smaller defects without reducing throughput. Optical inspection methods cannot reveal the buried structures found in high-power electronics, chiplets, HBM, through glass vias (TGVs), and advanced 3D packages. X-ray inspection and automated X-ray inspection (AXI) provide the required visibility, but higher resolution and penetration have traditionally come at the expense of speed. Recent advances in micro and nano focus X-ray source technology are overcoming this trade-off by delivering higher photon flux, improved contrast-to-noise ratio, and faster imaging. In this post we review these developments in high-power electronics, where higher voltage and power are required to penetrate through dense structures while maintaining micro-scale imaging, and advanced packaging where increasing complexity from vertical integration and sub-micron resolution combine. We highlight how increased throughput can be achieved while maintaining reliable defect detection.
