Our local team stepped in to help children and families affected by the January 1^st earthquake, donating necessary items to slowly rebuild a stable routine.

Kicked off on the 1^st of April, we are working towards addressing the shortage of skilled talent in the rapidly expanding semiconductor industry as part of the ECDA project. We aim to promote diversity and inclusion in the European semiconductor industry, paving the way for a brighter future for all.

As part of this national event, eight students from grades 5 to 7 spent an exciting day at our Hamburg location, exploring the facility, discovering our technologies, and learning about the diverse career opportunities at Comet. This initiative is designed to spark curiosity, inspire future career choices, and ignite a lifelong passion for technology.

On April 26^th, a team of our apprentices joined a true race for the future with a self-built hydrogen-powered model car. As a Gold Sponsor of the event, Comet is making a crucial contribution to the development of the next generation of talented innovators.

On April 27th, our San Jose team joined forces to participate in the annual Lam Research Heart & Soles Run to support children’s health and wellness.

From May to June, 39 employees took part in the annual Bike to Work challenge, pedaling to work for a healthier and more sustainable world. Together, they covered 17’765 km and saved 2’557 kg CO2.

As a part of Comet's ESG initiative «100 ideas to tackle climate change», a dozen volunteers came together on two occasions to remove invasive neophytes from the area around our building to foster a diverse landscape.

To invest in the talents of tomorrow, our team welcomed 12 students to our Shanghai facility on July 25th, to let them experience semiconductor manufacturing and quality control up close.

On August 8th, 33 employees in Penang participated in the carpool day, driving to work together and saving a total of 586.6 km and 82.1 kg CO2.

We believe that exposure to real-world applications is key to inspiring future talents. This is why our Penang team hosted 37 computer engineering students for an inside look at the world of semiconductors and cutting-edge technology.

Under the August sun, 20 colleagues laced up their running shoes for a 5km relay in Hamburg Stadtpark. But this race wasn’t just about personal bests – it was also about giving back. For every registered team, a tree was planted, meaning their participation brought four new trees to life.

In early September, our DE&I team of North America took initiative to support children from low-income households and communities. They donated a total of 120 school supply kits to the Boys & Girls Club of Alvizio and 30 classroom headphones to the Valley United Way.

The «City of Tomorrow» exhibition in Brussels highlights technical solutions for sustainable cities, featuring over 1000 innovations backed by Solar Impulse. As silver sponsors, we supported the exhibition and the October 16^th Pioneers Forum, which celebrates environmental breakthroughs and unites diverse experts to drive meaningful change.

Every year in early November, students in grades 5 to 7 get the unique opportunity to step into their parent’s or guardian’s workplace and discover the professional world firsthand. This year, we were thrilled to welcome 24 young innovators, offering them a hands-on introduction to Comet and the technologies shaping our tomorrow.

To close the growing talent gap, inspiring the next generation of leaders in the semiconductor industry is more important than ever. This is why we sponsored the 20 Under 30 Awards at Semicon West and Semicon Europa this year and welcomed the winners to our booths.

To further strengthen our commitment to sustainability, we joined the voluntary initiative for the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible business practices.

59 of our employees spent their Thanksgiving morning supporting local families in need by running (and trotting) in San Jose and remotely across the US. The annual event strives to uplift and improve the quality of life for underserved communities in Silicon Valley. To date, they have donated over $12 million to local non-profits, and we are proud to have helped add to that total this year.

As a sponsor of the annual Joy Drive, our US team donated a total of $3,159 plus 25 toys to the Boys & Girls Club of Silicon Valley. These contributions help ensure the local youth has something special to celebrate during the holiday season.
