This year marks a momentous occasion for Comet as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of our presence in Japan. The January 1 earthquake on the Noto Peninsula led to the large-scale evacuation of numerous families from the severely impacted city of Wajima in Ishikawa Prefecture. Each year, one of our talented electronics apprentices in Flamatt has the chance to deepen their knowledge and experience a different working environment by completing a two-week internship at our Copenhagen location. This year, Noah Raemy left his comfort zone and expanded his skillset by working on portable X-ray solutions with his Danish colleagues. To summarize his experiences, we asked him four questions:

This past weekend, the team of Comet apprentices participated in the national car race for hydrogen-powered vehicles, the «6h de Fribourg», with their self-built model car. This race was the culmination of intensive preparation during which the apprentices applied a wide range of fundamental knowledge. Not only did they learn to collaborate to complete a complex technical project, but they also familiarized themselves with various technologies in the field of renewable energy. The six-hour race was the grand finale, with the team completing 254 laps, despite a major setback that happened at the beginning.

Just last week, our team was at Semicon China, where we had the pleasure of meeting our valued partners and discussing various application at the front- and backend processes of semiconductor manufacturing. With CA20, the high-resolution X-ray system for Advanced Packaging inspection, and Synertia®, the integrated RF Power Delivery Platform for the production of the next generation of microchips, we happily showcased our latest innovations.
