For the Comet PCT team, focused on the manufacturing of sub-systems for plasma control in the semiconductor industry, the answer was not far away: Our own X-ray inspection solutions were at hand. At Semicon Taiwan, one of Asia's premier semiconductor events, stakeholders all over the global microelectronics industry got together. With over 3’000 booths, it was the biggest edition to date. In 2023, not only Comet is celebrating its 75th anniversary, but it’s also been 75 years since the invention of the transistor. These two milestones mark significant turning points in the history of technology and innovation. Transistors, one of the most pivotal inventions of all time, have enabled the functionality of countless devices that shape the modern world, including Comet’s technologies. In retribution, Comet develops products enabling technological progress in the area of semiconductor manufacturing. To celebrate that, we asked our team to share their story.

At this weekend’s «6h de Fribourg» event, six Comet apprentices proved their passion for innovation and sustainability. In a race with 21 other teams, they accumulated 11,292 laps with their hydrogen model cars, which corresponds to 960 kilometers and only 462 grams of hydrogen. As a sponsor and employer, Comet is proud to support this exciting learning experience that puts multidisciplinary collaboration at the center of real-world science and engineering projects.

Under the motto "Forward as one" SEMICON Korea took place from February 1 - 3 in Seoul. The exhibition has established itself as a must thanks to the continuous growth of the Korean semiconductor industry. We could not miss it.

You’ve been many joining our group-wide initiative to connect schools all over the world to the internet. After being online for a month, our mini game has been played more than 3000 times, the high scores getting higher and higher. We’re now converting these scores in to a donation for Unicef’s Giga initiative.
